Bill Ungar

I have over 30 years experience as a professional product designer, 10 years experience as a college product design instructor, and 5 years experience as an elementary school STEM teacher and Makerspace Coordinator. I was the first teacher to teach product design to high school students in Orange County, California. I teach STEM to elementary school students uniquely, by focusing all lessons on Design Thinking (a design process starting with empathizing with others) and incorporating at least one of the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, art, or math. By teaching Design Thinking, I am ensuring that my students learn empathy – something sorely needed in the world today. My students also learn how to solve complex problems, and think critically.
