Project Green Team 4 years, 3 months ago Hi guys! My name is Anna and I’m from Three Rivers, CA. Some of the things that I am most interested in are plastic pollution, animal conservation, and climate change, which I think is really similar to you guys. With some of my friends, I created a club at our school (EcoPact-A Kid’s Environmental Society) but we made a roots &shoots account so that we could meet other kids like us and exchange ideas. Tess and Angelique, I saw on EcoPact that you guys also started a club at your school-that’s awesome! Do you think below you could maybe list some of the things that you’ve been doing or ideas you have? Here are some of ours:
-Putting up posters at public areas about things like recycling, reminders to use re-usable, etc.
-We got our school to stop using plastic straws
-Organize a cleanup at our local lake
-Set up a compost bin at our school (You can compost at home too!)
-Plant trees
-Get local businesses to get recycling bins
-Also, we are planning on doing a march for Earth Day. Where do you guys live? If you live close to us, we could maybe even meet up and do a climate march together or something!
Hi, and welcome I joined your group it looks really cool. I think those are some really good ideas for ways to help the planet, but I live all the way in Texas so maybe we could figure out a way to do something similar, while being far apart. I think either planting a tree or a clean up on of our lakes. Oh also, about the Earth day march, awesome idea maybe here in Texas me and some others could march!! 🙂
That would be amazing! Do you have any friends or know any other people who might be interested in doing the march? If not, that’s okay, but if so, it would be great.
