Biography |
I’m a high school student who loves biology and biochemistry, as well as entomology and environmental science in general. My scientific interests have led me to explore the effects of human activity on aquatic environments, including how everyday products may contribute to harmful algal blooms. I also volunteer with Nourish KC and Youth Volunteer Corps, where I’ve worked on everything from food security to de-weeding community gardens and cleaning up city streets. I also teach proper recycling techniques to kids. I love studying entomology, and some of my non-science passions include archery and all kinds of 2D and 3D art. With a background in scientific research and volunteerism, I hope to blend hands-on science with action that creates measurable change in our communities and enjoy finding creative ways to educate others on recycling, pollution prevention, and environmental responsibility.
