The Little Things 2 years, 10 months agoIt’s an exciting day for us! We received our grant for our Little Free Bakery project! We have a lot of ideas on how best to use this money.
We distribute bakery items to the local community from a chain grocery store that are still suitable for consumption, but which would otherwise go to waste.

My favorite animal is the giraffe and currently I’m brainstorming a project to protect biodiversity in my community.

Hi Maria! Happy World Giraffe Day! (I believe it was a couple of days ago). I love that you want to protect biodiversity! It’s incredible how many species can live in one area, but so often these species are wiped out by lack of native plants or invasive species.
What kind of animals do you have in your community?

Save the Animals 3 years agoOn the 19th, I was returning to my town,and on the way we passed a huge wildlife sanctuary. I SAW A WILD ELEPHANT!! It was a little smaller than I an adult but way bigger than a baby. I think maybe it was a teenager or young adult. He or she was in the jungle but quite out and very near to me. The Little Things 3 years agoHi, I live in Austin, and there’s this place right outside of Austin that have these really amazing asian elephants, but there making them do tricks, and shows for people. All the trainers have a bullock in their hand, which they refer to as a “guide” for the elephants. I really want to help the elephants, but I’m not sure how. Any ideas???

Hi Emerson! Thank you for sharing. I know. It can be so hard seeing things that seem wrong to us and which are upsetting. It makes me feel a bit better though knowing there are people like you around who care and want to make change.
