I am currently a junior in high school and involved in environmental conservation. I have a dedicated interest in the conservation of birds, insects and pollinator-friendly plants, and have volunteered with local non-profits related to this goal. I am grateful to the Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots organization for encouraging youths to take action in their local communities. Being able to use the grant to create and share the “Monarch Butterfly Garden in a Box Project” with my local community inspires me to do even more in the near future.
