Biography |
I am a STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion/Robotics, Engineering, Art, and Math) facilitator at a PreK-8 Catholic school in Florida, where I guide students in building resilience, critical thinking, and teamwork through hands-on lessons. A central focus of STREAM integration at our school has been creating a vibrant courtyard garden, where students grow, harvest, and cook their own food, learning both the science and sustainability of food systems. Our commitment to sustainability includes establishing a Green Team, conducting waste audits, and contributing harvested herbs to the school’s on-site food pantry.
With over 10 years of cancer research experience, a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, I bring a diverse skill set that enhances my work with STREAM. My background enables me to uniquely connect science, sustainability, and creativity, enriching the school’s learning environment. As a mother of three, I am passionate about inspiring young minds to care for their body, mind, and soul from an early age.
