Group Description
The Not Buying It Club is a counter-cultural, gift-economy collective, made up of craftivists of all ages. We meet to “make things better” and challenge unsustainable consumer norms. We repair and share the stuff we already have and whenever possible, by any means possible, we try to avoid buying new stuff! Our gift economy helps the environment and people by not buying into the materials economy model. The Not Buying It Club is a place that by questioning and reshaping our consumption habits we nourish an authentic sense of community belonging while lessening the damage done by an excess of personal belongings.
