Group Description

Seedlings grew from the belief that small acts, rooted in kindness and observation, can grow into movements that change communities.
It is an online Roots & Shoots group open to families and individuals everywhere who want to make a difference.

Seedlings is a living movement — one that grows through awareness, curiosity, and care. Its focus is on nurturing empathy, environmental awareness, and connection — to the Earth, to one another, and to ourselves. Through mindful observation and small, consistent actions, Seedlings celebrates the everyday ways people can make a positive impact.

Whether it’s planting native species, cleaning local parks, supporting pollinators, or practicing mindfulness, Seedlings encourages care, kindness, and compassion within communities — helping young people see that change begins with noticing and grows through doing.

Projects include Visit the Forest, Adopt Your Spot, Winter Kindness for Creatures, Refill, Don’t Landfill, The Pause Project, Clean Up Your Stream, Walk It Off, and The Home Grown Project — each designed to nurture awareness, stewardship, and calm connection with the world while inspiring small acts of hope and healing across communities.

Everyone is welcome to join online — families, educators, caregivers, and changemakers of all ages. Together, we can grow something good.

🌿 Mission Statement
To cultivate compassion, curiosity, and courage by caring for one another and for the planet — observing, protecting, and giving back through every act of kindness, connection, and growth.
Planting ideas and growing action.
