Group Description

Pinecrest Virtual Academy (PVA) Kids Camp has created a fun educational rustic camping experience based around sustainability and permaculture. We specialize in teaching students with ADHD and Dyslexia. However, the camp is available to all youth. We currently have 24 primitive campsites with a capacity of around 100 campers. The learning activities will include learning about trees, plants, animals, and the interactions in our ecosystem. We will offer innovative creative, hands-on projects for a fun enjoyable camping experience. Students will learn which types of trees and wildflowers are best suited for the different types of sites. The campers will be involved in site preparation and planting. In the evenings, everyone will gather around the campfire to enjoy a nutritional meal and discuss the day’s adventures.
