When young people are empowered to use their voice and take action, transformational change occurs in their communities and in themselves. We want you to be a part of it.
Roots & Shoots is a global youth-powered program of the Jane Goodall Institute created in 1991 by Dr. Jane Goodall. It is led by millions of compassionate young people (as well as educators and mentors) who want to make a difference in their communities. The program offers resources, training, support, and leadership development skills that grow compassionate change-makers and create real positive change in all 50 United States and over 60 countries around the world, and growing.
Amplifying partnerships allow us to work with like-minded organizations and companies to leverage our shared audiences, resources, philosophies and ideas to make magic happen. Past partnerships have included Skype in the Classroom, Google, the United Nations, Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation, Nat Geo Education and more. Our partnerships help grow a movement of young people who practice compassion, determination, and collaboration to build a better world for all.
