WEEKLY IDEA #4: Make your showers greener!
As climate change worsens, more glaciers melt into the ocean that would otherwise give a lot of people drinking water. There are also droughts more frequently, so it’s important to save water. Because we shower a lot, showers are a good place to start. Try making them shorter, but if you can’t, there are still ways you can help. Waiting for the water to get warm can sometimes take a little bit, so while you’re waiting you can get a bucket to put in the shower, and then use that water to water plants. And while you’re scrubbing, try turning the water off! The next time you shower, try timing yourself. Then the next time try to be 30 seconds or a minute shorter, and the next time even shorter!
