Hi everyone! So for our next project, we’re going to be focusing on soil regeneration and learning about it. I definitely don’t want to stop with the food waste work, but it can be difficult to do lots of things virtually since we’re all from different places. So, we’ll focus on connecting food waste to soil regeneration. To start, try and familiarize yourself with soil and it’s needs, and basically for those who don’t know soil regeneration is it’s essentially the practice of building good and healthy soil to keep on nurturing the underground ecosystems. It’s a whole lot more complex than that, but for now that’s a basic definition. 🙂 A really great place to start is the podcast How to Save a Planet and they have an episode called “Soil: The Dirty Climate Solution”! I listen to it on Spotify, but I believe they have it available in other places as well. As you listen, keep in mind ways that soil regeneration connects back to food waste and opportunities you think of for helping soil in your community! Have fun! 🙂
