Follow the guide below to add your hike to the Jane Goodall Hike for Hope USA event calendar so you can spread the word and join the Jane Goodall Institute’s grassroots movement.

Good To Know

  • Add your hike, large or small, to the JGI USA calendar. It’s cool if it’s just one or two people. The point is to get out there!
  • You do not have to make your event public on the calendar. Public or private, it’s important for JGI to know how many events happened across the U.S. and to track impact and engagement.
If you live/go to school near a R&S Basecamp, you can join their Hike for Hope and/or organize an event of your own.

Not Just a “Hike”

While your event must follow the Hike for Hope ethos of coming together in community for time spent outdoors, there are a variety of ways to do this! Examples include:

  • A trail hike
  • A nature walk
  • Community birdwatching
  • Guided forest bathing
  • And more!Hike for Hope 3
