Jared is a trailblazer who merges his love of baseball with meaningful service.
Jared’s primary project, the Livingston Gear Exchange, continues to grow under his leadership.
Co-founded with his brother, this initiative collects, sanitizes, and distributes refurbished baseball equipment to under resourced teams. This past year, Jared expanded outreach to schools in Newark, NJ, providing both equipment and instruction to pre-teens. He also launched the Spread Kindness Like Frosting campaign, using a Roots & Shoots project grant to deliver cake kits to students in need as a reward for kind acts.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Jared plays on a nationally ranked travel baseball team and captains his high school team. Despite challenges, including his brother’s health battle, Jared finds inspiration in acts of kindness and community connection.
Looking back, Jared says: “The Council gave me a space to learn and grow while supporting my family through a challenging year.”
