Loxitawny channels her passion for equity and community into transformative projects that inspire change.
Loxitawny’s most recent Roots & Shoots project involves creating healthcare and hygiene kits for unhoused women and women facing incarceration.
She continues to explore impactful ways to serve her community, drawing on her Roots & Shoots experience. She recently organized a car show curated to feature Indigenous art and design.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Loxitawny is a first-year criminology student who stays active through running and participating in the Black Student Union. She values building connections and working collaboratively to drive change.
Reflecting on her Roots & Shoots journey, Loxitawny says: “The amount of people who have just as much, if not more, motivation to change the world inspires me daily.”
