Yoyo is a creative and driven artist and changemaker dedicated to building connections and addressing global challenges.
Yoyo’s most recent focus has been on planning for a new Roots & Shoots group at her university to inspire environmental action among her peers.
She advocates for social and environmental justice, drawing inspiration from the Roots & Shoots community. This year, Yoyo has emphasized educating herself and others about underrepresented global conflicts, hoping to incorporate this knowledge into future projects.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Yoyo meditates with her Sangha group, spends time with friends, and enjoys creating art and music. In her first year of college, she continues to explore ways to lead impactful community initiatives like supporting composting on campus.
When asked about her inspirations, Yoyo shares: “Roots & Shoots is so special to me because it is like an environmental family. The passion to work towards world harmony and love is contagious.”
