Hop Into the Animal Kingdom

In celebration of Disney and Pixar’s all-new film "Hoppers" and the 30th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund, Disney and Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots are teaming up to connect kids with nature and inspire 100,000 young people to "hop in" to make a difference for animals. In the all-new film, "Hoppers," Mabel gets to "hop in" and experience the animal kingdom like never before. Now, Disney and Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots are recognizing young people doing just that.
Hoppers 11

Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2026, Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots USA is the youth action program of the Jane Goodall Institute, empowering young people to be the change in their communities.

And for more than a century, Disney has harnessed the power of storytelling to spark wonder and inspire generations to care for animals and the natural world — a vision shared by longtime Disney friend, the late Dr. Jane Goodall. Building on that legacy, and in collaboration with programs like Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, the Disney Conservation Fund has connected millions of kids with nature through programs that remind us all: every one of us has the power to “hop in” and make a difference.

The "Hop Into the Animal Kingdom" Challenge

As part of this celebration, Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots USA is launching a challenge throughout the United States to honor young people doing projects that help animals. To participate in the challenge, 1) join Roots & Shoots (if you haven't already) and 2) do a Roots & Shoots project to help domestic or wild animals. Projects may be individual or collaborative and should be currently in progress or have been completed within the last three months. If your project was/is collaborative, your application should reflect how you serve(d) as a team leader or critical team member. Roots & Shoots staff will select challenge winners from around the country based on the quality and impact of their projects.
