Uniting our divided community

The Problem

There has been a recent influx of people moving in to our neighborhood, but for people to move in, people must move out. Our neighborhood, Highland Park, is becoming increasingly divided and some may even say the relationship is being increasingly hateful. There are various perspectives at play here but the underlying fact is in order to thrive, our community must be whole again.

Our Plan

While I hate taking sides, I think our first step should be in creating some form of rent cap to that we stop displacing our community members. We'd have to go to our neighborhood council for that, if and when we can stop worrying about people losing their homes, then we begin initiating community events that will hopefully bring the community together.
