The Problem
Our Girl Scout troop wants to help animals and young children by working with local agencies to host a community event to help teach kids about animal safety.
Our Plan
We will partner with local therapy dogs, vets, and the local hospital to have an event open to the community. We'll have hospital employees and health department employees discuss animal safety and have a carnival-type atmosphere with face painting, snacks, and animal safety coloring books for kids to take home. We will ask kids to sign an animal safety pledge. We will hope to educate at least 20 kids about animal safety and hand out at least 20 coloring books. We will write letters to local vets asking them to keep the animal safety pledge in their office if we bring them copies.
