We hope to make our community more aware of the people who struggle in our communities to put food on their table. Show people the true difficulty of living on the street and even trying to support a family with no roof. There is very little empathy to these unfortunate people and rather than continue to marginalize them, we must welcome them with love and compassion.
We're promoting our local youth to attend our community soup kitchen so they can receive an experience that will really portray the difficulties of living on the street. We do believe that our youth have the strongest voices in our community and we hope that after receiving this experience they will go on to not only be aware of the struggle but also may even create an initiative in our neighborhood to fix this growing issue of homelessness.
