The Problem

In remembrance of the 9/11 Attacks and to answer President Obama's proclamation to make 9/11 a day of national service, I want my Roots & Shoots club to collect one can or nonperishable good for every life lost during the 9/11 Attacks which is around 3,000 items.

Our Plan

This project will collect nonperishable goods to be donated to our local food bank addressing the issue of food insecurity. We hold this event for two days only and have our high school's community bring in the nonperishable goods.
