What is your wish for this project?

In our community we have a large refugee population. Many of these refugees are taking the time to learn English, but are still struggling to find jobs and in turn, provide for their families. These families are learning American customs, and many begin buying foods that are processed and inexpensive rather than fruits and more

How did it go?

We loved our click and grow gardens and other garden materials for inside the classroom. We were able to grow basil, strawberries, and just started growing tomatoes! Students took the healthy foods home to share with their families. This was such a fun experience, and for many students the first time trying these fruits and vegetables. Thank you for the opportunity to share new foods with my students and their families!
