Vivienne brings a global perspective to her environmental and social initiatives. Her early involvement in a Roots & Shoots club when she lived in Singapore left her with cherished memories and Vivienne plans to start a R&S group at her current school in Hawai’i.
Vivienne is currently setting up a Roots & Shoots project, contributing to the Blue Planet Foundation’s Climate Crew, and serving on Planned Parenthood’s Hawai’i Teen Council.
She actively volunteers, including working at a local kalo patch/taro farm and leading projects empowering middle schoolers in the legislative process. Additionally, she interns for the Children’s Mental Health Resource Center and leads her school’s Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) club. Her involvement with the Hawai’i Youth Food Council focuses on regenerative food systems and farm-to-school programs. In her free time, Vivienne loves reading, favoring fantasy and horror novels.
What keeps Vivienne motivated? “I have met so many young people passionate about making a positive difference in the world.”
