“I think that JGI and Roots & Shoots are innovative in the way we use mapping and the four-step formula to intersect education, mapping, and conservation.”
Location: Richmond, VA
Roots & Shoots History: Joined the Roots & Shoots program in Grad School
Position Title: Education Projects Manager
I do a little bit of everything, which makes every day new and exciting. I’m mainly responsible for ensuring we can accurately track the program’s progress towards our strategic vision. But I also manage our online courses, work with our education and R&S teams in Africa, and advise on our mapping resources guides. Being outside in nature has always been a huge draw for me. I spent my childhood going on adventures in the Everglades; from that learning about the environment and working to protect it naturally evolved as my interests, education, and career combined.
