Gabby is a freshman at University of Connecticut. This is her second year serving on the National Youth Leadership Council. As a Roots & shoots member, Gabby has participated in many projects, one of her favorites being the club’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. In partnership with a local social service organization, her group collects and organizes Thanksgiving food boxes for local families. Gabby is passionate about minimizing income inequality in her community and has also worked on projects including banning plastic bags, raising food and money for low-income families, and running donation events and fundraisers for shelters, food pantries, and other organizations. In her spare time, Gabby writes for her school’s literary magazine and enjoys reading, music, and spending time with friends.
