Grade: Freshman in Chandler, Arizona
History with Roots & Shoots: Three years with Roots & Shoots
Asha is a freshman from Chandler, Arizona. This is her first year on the National Youth Leadership Council. Asha’s favorite Roots & Shoots project was creating and sharing illustrations of endangered and protected species while sharing important information about them. She has also led tree planting projects in her community, allowing her to help the environment safely during quarantine. Asha is passionate about visual and performing arts and is excited to start her own Roots & Shoots group where she can expand her reach in the community. Asha loves animals and became a vegetarian at age nine. She enjoys experimenting with new art forms, playing the flute and the piano, and playing volleyball.
