Community Relations Manager

Location: Roots & Shoots Santa Fe Office

Area of expertise: Education, Community Resources, Collaborator Networks

I serve the Roots & Shoots network by offering our members and their mentors opportunities to work closely with our partners. I also assist informal educators to bring service learning into their practices.

I enjoy developing  relationships with our community networks and exploring opportunities for collaboration. My background in the arts has helped me bring a creative approach to project planning and problem solving.

I first developed a passion for service learning during my volunteer work in the United States and abroad as a children’s grief counselor, rural kindergarten teacher and orphanage care giver. My previous employment opportunities have also allowed me to work closely with many different populations of people, with animals and in nature.

My interest in art and design blossomed in high school while attending the School of the Arts in Charleston, SC. I was then offered a Rotary Scholarship to study abroad in Milan Italy, which led to me graduating with a BFA in photography from the University of Tasmania in Australia.
