What is your wish for this project?

We would like to turn our front yard, which has primarily been lawn and some bushes, into a wildlife sanctuary, with a lot of native plantings, and access to water and shelter. We hope to get it certified as a Wildlife Habitat at some point. My daughter, age 15, has studied local animals for years, and building a habitat for them would be a great service project. How are you going to do it?

Our project will provide sanctuary for local wildlife, including but not limited to birds and insects. While we have some plants already that attract critters, we would like to incorporate more native plantings, which will also allow this to be a low water use yard.
