As your child develops his organizational skills by participating in Roots & Shoots projects, he or she has an opportunity to develop leadership abilities too, in our Youth Leadership Councils. This program was launched in 2003 as a natural outgrowth and progression for members who want to inspire others on a broader level. These dedicated youth ambassadors meet regularly to provide support for other Roots & Shoots groups and strengthen the global Roots & Shoots network.
