In the One Million Hours of Service Campaign, every Roots & Shoots group is called to keep track of the amount of time projects take, and combine them with the rest of the hours from of the global network, to accomplish one simple goal:
By the end of 2012, the Roots & Shoots members and groups, will, working together as one global network, complete enough projects to achieve a total of one million hours of service.
When groups reach 1500 hours of service, they are invited to participate in a live Web chat with a Roots & Shoots representative. This opportunity allows for these extraordinary groups to communicate with the Roots & Shoots community to share their experiences and what they have learned in the process of completing their hour service.
The live interview and a link to the Twitter Chat will be hosted on this event page for the duration of the interview to give the viewers an opportunity to get involved in the interview and ask questions as well. For directions on how to participate in the Twitter chat, refer to this how-to page.
This live Web chat will feature Lauralton Hall Environmental Club (CT) and Sacred Heart Schools, Chicago (IL) and will be hosted by Roots & Shoots Youth Leadership Program Assistant, Adrienne Bermingham.
