In 2011, the Roots & Shoots National Youth Leadership Council launched the One Million Hours of Service Campaign and challenged the global network to join them in their mission to make the world a better place…one hour at a time. Since the campaign launch, Roots & Shoots groups all over the world have contributed thousands of service hours to the campaign and brought us one step closer to achieving our incredible goal: ONE MILLION HOURS OF SERVICE.
Continuing into the last part of this year, it is time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the Roots & Shoots groups that have contributed over 1,500 hours of service to the campaign. Each month, two extraordinary groups will be featured in a live video chat hosted by a member of the Roots & Shoots team.
As these groups share their stories and project tips, Roots & Shoots groups and members all over the country will be able to watch the video chat live and share comments and questions via Twitter. Join us as we celebrate those groups who have shown an extreme dedication to fostering compassion while tackling pertinent issues in their communities.
