The new rootsandshoots.org is finally here and full of great resources and tools to help you! Although it may look different from the former site, be assured that everything you need to know and find is here for you, in addition to so many other amazing tools and resources.
The Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots staff have been working very hard for quite a while now trying to get everything finished and on to this new site. Celebrate with JGI as we're finally ready to launch!
Here are some easy tips for navigating the site to help you find just what you are looking for:
If you are not already a member, simply click here to learn more about the exciting benefits and register! If you already have a Roots & Shoots account, log in here using your existing username and password. After doing this, you can familiarize yourself with our staff, our mission, our goals, and history, by looking under the About Us header. Here, you can also find our contact information and learn more about Job or Internship opportunities at the Jane Goodall Institute.
If you are ready to dive in and read about upcoming news or events on our calendar, head over to the News/Events section where you can read tons of News articles and Blog posts by our Roots & Shoots staff members. You can even head over to our Events Calendar which includes plenty of important and fun events and campaign days, Jane Goodall tour dates, and UN official holidays.
After browsing through all of the events, don’t forget to check out one of the most special parts of the new site... The 2012 Roots & Shoots Campaign! What is this, you ask? Click here to learn how you can help us reach our goal of achieving one million hours of service! You can use our extensive Library to find resources that will help you start and complete your very own projects, which you can post in our Project Center! After you submit your own projects, they will all be searchable in the project database. Keep posting, and check to see if you get project of the week of group of the month in the News section!
