One Million Hours of Service

When we organize service projects with our Roots & Shoots groups we often don’t stop to count how much hard work and effort goes into making them successful. When we do we see that our projects often take more time than we would ever have imagined. And every hour spent toward making a project successful matters, every hour is important and every hour counts.

In the One Million Hours of Service Campaign, every Roots & Shoots group is called to keep track of the amount of time projects take, and combine them with the rest of the hours from of the global network, to accomplish one simple goal:

By the end of 2012, the Roots & Shoots members and groups, will, working together as one global network, complete enough projects to achieve a total of one million hours of service.

So... How many hours do we have so far?

... Are you ready?

 383,906!

Learn more about how these hours are calculated.

Wow! That's a big number! Use this as incentive to get your own projects rolling! Together, we can all achieve 1,000,000 hours of service by the end of the year.
